Do I Fit The Professional Profile?
Most Knowledge-based Professionals Qualify
- P.A.C.E. Solo W-2™ Supports a Broad Range
of Independent Professionals
- Traditionally, a professional is a person who is engaged
in one of the learned professions, requiring advanced training,
education, certification or licensure, and whose occupation
requires the application of theories, concepts, principles,
and methodologies, coupled with a high degree of critical
thinking and discerning judgment.
- Professionals perform specialized services, making available
to others their expertise in a distinctive body of knowledge
and competencies. Professionals demonstrate appropriate attitudes
and values, enjoy relative autonomy in the performance of
their work within agreed boundaries and regulatory frameworks,
and have public recognition as an authority in their particular
area of work.
- Professionals commonly belong to specialized professional
organizations, which establish and enforce a professional
code of ethics for members, and which promote and support
the specialized profession through political lobbying, professional
publications, continuing education, and other means.
- The Greek doctor, Hippocrates, who lived 2500 years ago,
is credited with making the distinction between a profession
and other forms of occupation.
- Below is a partial list of the independent professionals

>>> If
you are a highly compensated free agent, freelancer, independent
contractor, or virtually any other type of technical or professional
consultant, employee, or small business owner, then you may
be a very good match for P.A.C.E. Solo W-2™.
- Are There Additional Criteria?
- P.A.C.E. charges a service fee equal to 6% of collected revenues, with a minimum charge of $120 per
invoice.
>>> If you are comfortable with
P.A.C.E.'s fee structure, then you may be a very good match
for P.A.C.E. Solo W-2™.
- Is That It?
- Just about. There is, however, one additional consideration.
P.A.C.E. prefers to contract directly with the client, as opposed
to subcontracting through an intermediary.
- Some companies employ gatekeepers to manage their contingent
workforce. We work with gatekeepers... It is a fact of life
in this industry. What we don't like is when we have to subcontract
through a greedy and avaricious recruiting firm. We prefer that
you avoid using third-party recruiting firms whenever possible.
- When P.A.C.E. contracts directly with your client we are in
the best position to represent you as your employer of record.
Middlemen just get in the way.
>>> If you are self-reliant, fiercely
independent, and you dislike working through third-party recruiting
firms, then you may be a very good match for P.A.C.E. Solo W-2™.
- The links below lead to an overview of
additional attitudes and traits that characterize P.A.C.E. independent
professionals.
